There are a lot of extracurriculars to choose from. The most popular one is Ultimate Frisbee. A good chunk of the students play and it is a big part of the community at SCDS. There is after school care that is so fun for all the kids. There are a lot of activities for everybody.

I am sort of surprised by some of the negative reviews from former parents who are upset about DEI at SCDS. It's as though they believe DEI and giftedness are mutually exclusive when they are not. SCDS is a very overrated school at this point. As another reviewer said, it used to be a rigorous school, but it has become substantially watered down in order to not offend. SCDS likes to talk about diversity, but there is little in the way of actual thought diversity or diversity of its curriculum...
