GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I enjoy the broad variety of clubs and experiences provided by SHS. We are a predominantly causation community, so I haven't experienced a lot of diversity in my school compared to other students. I loved the school's willingness to let students leave for various academic and artistic events.

Overall, I had a great experience attending Seymour High School. There were some things that could be improved and there were other things that I felt lucky to have been able to experience.

For fights it's not fair who gets punished, the aggressor gets only 3 days of in s...

Good, my children have done very well academically. The choir is rated best in all state competitions.

Do not go to this school, send your children elsewhere. This school is filthy, and there were not lights in the main hallway until this year, if that says anything about it. Classes feel rushed and not all material is covered by the end of the semester. Many children and teachers here are prejudiced...
