Being at Mohawk Trail is a mixed experience. If you branch out and take college level classes, then academics are great - but most students don't take initiative and accept failing out of school.

The sports at Mohawk are very fun and is like a second family to me. They are the highlight of my years at Mohawk. The coaches are all amazing. The worst parts of Mohawk are the kids that don't want to be there, and ruin school for everyone else. They skip class and get privileges taken away from everyone. I would like to see a change in the way Mohawk chooses to use time. Classes like crew, are unhelpful and a waste.

My experience at Mohawk Trail Regional High School concluded in a great 6 years. The tight-knit community makes teacher-student relationships easily accessible and makes it a caring environment. It was nice to go to a school where you knew everyone you walked by the hallways and chances are you probably had a class with them too.

My kid has trouble choosing classes because there are so many great ones she wants to take them all. In addition to honors and AP courses, there is robotics and woodshop, art, music, theater, cooking - I could go on and on - not to mention the wide array of athletic teams from football to nordic ski...
