I don't really think just asking a broad question about certain faculty or the subjects taught are good questions. I rated the teachers higher because I've definitely had really good teachers at school who love teaching kids but, I've had some horrible teachers too. These teachers range from just not effectively teaching kids to straight up violating IEP's. My teachers in my higher level classes have been amazing, and they show an obvious love for teaching, and care about their students. At the same time, MANY of my Gen Ed teachers have been pretty horrible. I have seen teachers shame kids when they dont understand something, violate IEP's (on multiple occasions), and ignore bullies who harass other students during class. I think school is an extremely safe space for me, but for others, I'm not sure.

My overall experience has been good. With a diversity in activities I feel as if Royal is a good fit for me. A vast majority of clubs and sports are offered which allow for an inclusive atmosphere in which all students are welcomed and embraced. Some things I would like to see changed are things such as more teacher involvement such as connecting more with students. I believe a strong connection with teachers is a crucial part of success within the classroom and an ethical learning experience. Having this connection with not only just peers but also the facility prove to be important to a good and comfortable environment.

The best parts of my experiences at Royal High School are during Track and Field meets. There is always quality team bonding time, and I always feel like I am hanging out with family even while I am waiting to compete in my events in sometimes severe weather. I love how there is always some friendly rivalry, and how we all share the soreness of a good sprint workout.

The school does not do enough to include students who are not always engaged on campus.

I did not enjoy it here at all. The kids seem to stay in their little cliques and were extremely judgmental when I went here. A lot of the teachers I had we not decent and their P.E. class made me feel like I was in boot camp. This is such a competitive school and expects a lot of people to be into...
