Best parts: getting to know teachers, friends, etc. Exploring my interests in low-stakes areas. Worst parts: Cliques and the fact that students are very brain-rotted and closed-minded

Simsbury High School is a great place to get an education and prepare you for college. I feel like the academics are challenging but the teachers are supportive and encouraging. There are many ways for everyone to get extra help and the administration and teachers want you to succeed so they make themselves available and are very approachable. I love the school cheer here at Simsbury High School. There is always a sporting event to attend and the school spirit is great. I don't know if I would change anything really here except maybe the early start time for school. If we could make it an hour later that would be great but I know that's a decision that requires a lot more than a quick vote. I know I will look back at my time here in High School favorably and I know I will be coming back to visit the teachers. I will miss them as I start a new chapter in my life, however, I know they will have prepared me will and for that I will always be thankful.

Both of my children who graduated from SHS were prepared for college admissions due to the guidance department, classes they were enrolled in and afforded the opportunity to participate in, as well as the clubs and extracurricular activities the students were allowed to be a part of orchestrating. Parent involvement from the community can be overwhelming.

It’s the reason we moved to Simsbury. You will get a private school experience for free! The curriculum is rich and diverse, definitely readying students for college.

Excelllent experience from almost 20 years ago. Went to top ranked college, masters programs and was more than prepared for academic, corporate career and life experiences from Simsbury Public Schools and SHS.

If my child didn't have a learning disability, our experience would be very good. But their sub-standard special ed services have made that experience miserable.

Teachers are fantastic, but the guidance dept is enept, principal is an elitist snob, spends more time at seminars and coffee socializing than involvement with actual student needs
