The school as whole has always had a bad reputation. However, the school is not really all that bad. Yes, there are bad kids there.. however there are a lot more smart and behaved children who get overlooked by the outside. The school also have many programs to stir the "rough" children" on the right track. The also are very safe there with the SPD.
