The Springfield Renaissance School is a public magnet school in the Liberty Heights neighborhood of Springfield that has been serving students in grades six through 12 since its opening in 2006. Enrollment at Springfield Renaissance reaches roughly 700 students who share the renovated and expanded school building on Carew Street with Van Sickle Middle School and Rise Academy. Springfield Renaissance is an Expeditionary Learning school, an educational model where students participate in Crew, an advisory-type structure that places students in a core community group each year with a support teacher that follows them through their middle and high school years at the school. Students take courses in core academic subjects in addition to electives in drama, yearbook, art and more. Students in ninth through 12th grade can sign up for a slate of Advanced Placement courses offered by the school, plus week-long intensives and hands-on expeditions, case studies, field work and serving learning projects to round out their educational experience. In addition to academics, students at Springfield Renaissance have several options for extracurriculars and athletics, including gardening, chess, soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis, swimming and cheerleading.

I have been there since 6th grade and every year there has been an adventure Ed, field trip, that has led to a greater understanding of concepts that we had been taught that year

I can say it was a good school a lot of bullies my grades I kept up I just wish that the school did more with bullies they throw you off track when your just trying to learn I get good grades and I'm a hard worker that want to show my parents I can do it .I have proven to them that I can do I'm graduating next month and I couldn't be more happier next step is college and the only thing about that is the cost how I'm I supposed to pay for it what type of help is out there I don't want to not go I want to show the world that I a'mariona can do what I set out to do .

It has been amazing, the teachers work together to make sure you personally excel your learning abilities and make sure you have good work ethic. It is a much different experience than any other school I've heard of, every day there is always something new, my entire high school has been filled with amazing teachers who always help me to be a better person

My daughter has been there for three years, except for one issue with a problem student it is a great school. The teachers are excellent, curriculum is above par, but the administration is very weak.
