GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It's a very good district, of course everyone disagrees with what a school does at times. But, they are the only school in the IVC with a girls tennis team and I'm really thankful for that.

The district itself was absolutely terrible; the school board made poor choices all over that led to a strike with the cafeteria workers. My mother is a cafeteria worker at a different facility and my father is a union rep for his work so I was very conflicted and went to school when scabs were being used. so I had to miss over a week and a half of school due to the strike. I had to go back after being told I could become considered a truant student. so I made t-shirts in defense of the workers on strike. they have a few great and amazing educators there art teacher Carrie Kunkel truly embodies what it means to be an educator she molded me into the artist I am today. Neal Phile to accepted to be when I came out and treated me like any other kid. and the amazing drama dept. has made it all the better.

Excellent overall school academic education. I have attended Claymont schools since I started school. I have achieved high academics and was given the opportunity to take my education to a higher level with attending CCP classed through Kent State during my Junior and Senior years.
