Excellent communication from the teachers and principal. The children are pushed academically, but in a way that is nurturing and supportive. The school has an engaged, diverse community. Although Newton is quite a wealthy city, the atmosphere is very neighborhoody and not at all pretentious. Really...

The school community is amazing. From the first few weeks of kindergarten, families are given ample opportunities to connect with other parents and students. The PTA is so engaged, but not in annoying overreaching ways- it’s all about fun and community for the kids. The teachers arm warm and caring....

This school is mediocre. After the Covid shutdown, we became very aware of the lack of leadership and drive toward excellence. We, our neighbors and our friends all commented that our children completed the school work in about an hour. Every email and every phone call had a tone of low expectations...
