I love my school, the academics and opportunities that are offered to the students are extraordinary. Waterloo High School goes the extra mile for their students by allowing them to survey on new classes they would like to see be offered as well as new sports. The teacher engage positively with each student and heavily encourage good grades, attendance and behavior.

I truly believe Waterloo High School is a great school. There has been a lot of change within the administration recently. I can't say that I have always been a fan of the school administration, but there have definitely been some improvements and positive changes in the last year. The new admin has changed some school policies to better fit the needs of the students. They are really trying their best to make WHS a fun place that students want to be. Their mission is to make the school feel less like a prison. While these positive changes have occurred, there are still some negatives. I feel like most of the negative issues are things that all high schools deal with. Some negatives are teachers favoring popular kids or sports players. Like I said this is an issue at many schools, but that does not make it right. Most of the negative issues have been issues for so long, that I don't see them changing.

Waterloo High School is an average school, there is nothing too special about it. One thing that is very upsetting is the lack of AP classes, we only have 3 and it feels like a downgrade.

I went to WHS and loved every minute of it. The teachers were wonderful and made it seem worth going. Being in college now makes me appreciate all of the work the teachers at WHS did because of how much more I know compared to other people my age. I am an education major and hope to teach at WHS to...
