I really loved Westlake highschool. What I would hope that would change is the diversity in the school but as well more involvement from the teachers and really trying to be there with a purpose.

I like the school and all of the staff. I would say there is a good school environment and many career and college classes which allow students do dive into a passion. Somethings that could improve are food and student resources and information.

I feel like teachers just do not care about their students anymore. I think everyone got burned out during the pandemic and now the students are the ones that are suffering. I made the change to Westlake this year and the administration was extremely helpful getting me moved over, the diversity is so much better, but it seems to be a theme at every school that teachers have just had their fill.

I WOULD NOT recommend Westlake High School to ANY STUDENT or anyone for employment, at any level! Unfortunately, all of the complaints I've read are very true, no exaggeration. I think the thing that disappointed me the most when I taught there a few years ago was the lack of professionalism from the teachers. Just for that, I would avoid having my kids attend school there. But I guess you can just chalk up bad teachers to the teacher shortage...?
