The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

I was a student at Wichita North High School for 4 years. Both my older brothers graduated from North as well as most family members. The school has always been amazing all the years that i have came back. The teachers and staff were always so supportive and just wanted the best for us. It is such an amazing school and I'm so upset that I graduated and can no longer go back.

I like the school spirit and the teachers and the knowledge they bring and the way they are really concerned that we learn. Also the rest of the school staff all the way to the janitors are some of the best people I have met in my life, they are understanding and are always ready to hear what I have to say and try to see it from my point of view, and a change would be good in updating the restrooms. I have visited some of the other schools in Wichita and their restroom are up-to-date and I would like to see that at North because North high students and staff deserve better they deserve what all Wichita students get.

It was a very enriching experience, favorable for my academic performance. I broadened my vision towards life, I learned to face my horrors, limitations, taking them as a personal challenge to improve day by day. I met highly empirical people, committed to the personal growth of the students. Ye give successful alternatives to the problems you face.
For me this school was once an amazing school my parents loved it and the hyped it up by saying all of the ways the spirit of the school shines but when I got here, I didn't feel it but that also could be my freshman year was online and I hated it and I could be why the scores have been so low or it...
North has many options for AP and honors classes. There are many opportunities in clubs, sports, music and other extracurricular activities. North has helped me grow as leader.
I have been at this school for less than a year and I am still ahead of most of the students here. I have grown up in a small town with less students and less drugs. I honestly do not like this school.
Let's get real with ourselves when rating this school. Thought school spirit may be high, and the biased endorsement of the principal is strong, North High underperforms both the Wichita average and the state average in a state that ranks 37th in the nation. If what you are looking for is a principa...
