Winooski is a place where I was allowed to freely grow into the person I am today. It is a close community which allowed me to explore many different cultures. The diversity there is like no other in the state so I got a unique experience compared to other Vermonters. I was also given the resources to go to college and early college at CCV and now I am on my way to becoming a doctor.

The students all do drugs but it doesn't interfere with daily school activities often, it's mostly on their own time. I haven't heard much of bullying happen but I'm sure it does. The school nurse is almost useless, they give cough drops like it's magical candy that can heal anything. Health programs are nice, I guess, I don't use them. It's pretty safe at school, students don't really do anything shady at school in front of everyone, but I'm sure some things happen behind the scenes.

Unfortunately, the Winooski School District has never been able to come out of a rut since we moved here 25 years ago. Teachers are unable or unwilling to accommodate for their students and are very overwhelmed. The only benefit was being able to have school choice with Essex Technical Center.
