GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

This is a 2A school in the country. I love the small town atmosphere and the close relationships I have with the teachers. The school has partnered with close colleges to offer college courses to the high school students. Our sports programs have begun to excel. Our boys and girls basketball, tennis, track, baseball and softball teams all advanced to state finals this year. Our FFA club does outstanding projects and also does well when compared to the state.

I've experienced so many great things. We are one of the best schools in East Texas our people that go to this school are really smart. There is not a day where we are not ready to learn. That's why we're to learn to be successful.

Uncertified Special needs Teachers. My family member was treated cruel and I was cussed at by faculty.

Horrible. The principal is an egomaniac with very little control over his staff. I have heard a teacher bragging about how they "look out for each other" if a parent voices concerns about the staff.

In the east Texas area Woden is often left out of the top schools category, while schools like Central Heights are included in it. When in actuality Woden almost always receives better test scores, and more awards than any other school on Nacogdoches county. I feel like if a student has a desire to...

Woden is a very, very locally overrated district. There are some good teachers, but that's about it. There is poor balance between sports and other niches, the principal is a bit of a tyrant, and the school is chock full of typical small town ignorance. Politics and nepotism dominate the administrat...
