The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

In my experience at Eisenhower, this is a school where when you put effort into your future, you will receive support, advice, compassion, and encouragement in return. The teachers, counselors, administration, all the staff I've met- they genuinely care about you and your success. If you are diligent in your pursuit of success, they will do everything in they can to assist you and provide you opportunities.

My experience with Eisenhower Highschool has been pretty good. Walking in freshman year I felt like it was a very interesting school and I really enjoyed hanging out with all the people there. Even through I'm no longer a freshman and I might have lost some of those friends along the way, I still made new ones. As a Junior there are plenty of resources at my school to help me with anything I might need. I don't want to see anything change within the time I have left.

I didn't actually get to go to school that much because of covid and schools getting shut down, and then I did running start so I only took 1 class at the school for my last 2 years, but it hasn't been a terrible experience overall. The administrators seem to care about how students feel and want them to succeed. My main problem is the way they deal with bullying and how they shut down most of the bathrooms because students are vaping in them. I would like them to take bullying more seriously instead of letting students get to the point where they feel they have no other choice then to physically fight their bully, and if it does get to that point I don't feel the victim should be reprimanded for that, as they were just trying to stand up for themselves. As for the bathrooms, I understand why they close them, it's just sort of an annoyance that I've accepted and learned to deal with.

I had a very splendid time going to Eisenhower High School when I attended there before graduating 2015, until I went today to pick up my sister, but I was going to use the restroom. The office staff did not let me use the restroom because they had a "school meeting". I am going to probably make a f...

While I can't speak for the non-Honors/AP courses, I am definitely able to conclude that Ike is an amazing school for those that have the drive to take advantage of the opportunities there. The honors teachers all care deeply about their students and do all they can to keep then in the honors/ap tra...

Eisenhower High School is the best school in Yakima, it has taught me a lot. The faculty is great. I feel safe and respected in the school. I'm to say I attend there now and when I first attended as a freshman I was not scared at all. They really prepare you for life and being on your own.
