The best part of SVHS was how safe we felt, and the teachers do seem to care. The teachers are really good and do care about academics. It is a really good high-school, just a little tacky.

Silver Valley High School would be the main option for a student when having to move to the Yermo, CA or Barstow, CA area due to military orders, which is my case. My experience at Silver Valley was phenomenal and I would do it all over again.

Silver Valley is a small school. It can be a bit boring but it does grow on you. I believe the conditions could be better but there's only so much you can do for a small school. The best thing about the Silver Valley is the community. It's small enough to where everyone kind of knows each other. It forms a type of camaraderie amongst the students and staff that is rare in bigger schools.

SVHS is a very unique environment. For Fort Irwin students it is your option. Its small size and corresponding course, club, and athletic offerings will be to some students benefit. There is no little trace of order and system. Discipline is also missing. Due to the fact that teachers don't care about their students accept for a few.
