Homes.com ‘Real Estate Search Destination’

Homes.com Vice President Jason Doyle has his sights set high for the coming year, stating:“Going into 2010, we will add new consumer resources and make significant technological enhancements that will propel homes.com to become the pre-eminent online real estate search destination for consumers [you].”

And Mr. Doyle wasn’t exaggerating! In January the portal stated its listings increased by over two million during the course of 2009, which is almost double 2008 listings. Additional listings mean more homes for you to search through.

“Today’s homebuyers are increasingly conducting business online with 87 percent using the Internet in their home searches last year, according to the National Association of Realtors,” said Alex Perriello, president and CEO of the Realogy Franchise Group.

And that’s not all. Homes.com has also made improvements to reach house hunters on the go. “Forrester Research recently reported that 67 percent of smartphone owners browse the mobile Internet at least once per week – and 30 percent do so daily,” mentioned Mr. Doyle. The new Homes.com mobile website is said to offer “powerful, full-featured” property searches of sale and rental properties that are updated daily and include maps and driving directions.

Homes.com is making great strides in 2010 to have its web site and mobile technology be the leading destination for consumers to find a home.
