This Florida Vanilla Ice Project Is Nice, Nice Baby!

Regardless of whether or not you’re a fan of Vanilla Ice’s The Vanilla Ice Project television show, you can’t deny that the home he renovated in season five of that program is a stunner from top to bottom.

The one-time platinum recording artist has proven over the course of his successful show that he knows his way around a home renovation, and the home at 101 N Atlantic Drive in Lantana, FL is one of his finest. And now, it’s up for sale on the very hot Florida real estate market.

A Grand Entrance

Upon first sight, the grand estate is something to behold. Once through the gated entry, you’ll marvel at the ultra-wide bricked driveway, complete with a fountain featuring an eagle soaring over the earth as its centerpiece. The whimsical fountain is your first sign that this home is something out of the ordinary.

The home’s entry features freshly renovated, cherry-stained 10-foot solid cypress doors with tempered glass inserts, majestically framed by cultured stone bricks. The doors open to a spacious foyer of luminescent marble. Beyond lays the palatial great room, which boasts a 25-foot cast stone fireplace, floor-to-ceiling drapes, hand-strung crystal chandeliers, and copper ceiling tiles.

As if that’s not enough, there is also a 300-gallon jellyfish tank equipped with colorful LED lights that really show off the translucent beauty of the swimming creatures. The jellyfish tank also serves as a window to the home’s incredible kitchen.

The Dining Area and Kitchen

Off to the right of the great room is an elegant dining room where you’ll feel like you’re dining in Tuscany thanks to the huge hand-painted mural depicting the Italian countryside in its vibrant glory. The plaster columns of the dining room have even been painted to resemble marble to truly bring the Italian atmosphere to life.

Built into the mural is a creative hand-made wine rack, built by Vanilla Ice himself. But, the real showstopper in the dining room is the fantastical chandelier. Hand-crafted by a master glassblower, this chandelier is a flowing entity that brings a whole new level of inspiration to the space.

As creative and inspired as this home’s design is, the kitchen is the one part of the home where tradition reigns. But, as traditional as it is, the kitchen has an incredible array of modern conveniences. From the cast-iron AGA chef’s stove to its custom copper vent hood, the cooking station in the home is unparalleled in beauty and functionality. Completing the kitchen are onyx countertops, signature cabinets with crystal-studded pulls, and a generous walk-in pantry.

Entertainment Fit for a Classic Hip Hop King

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Vanilla Ice home without a state-of-the-art entertainment room. This one features a classic movie theater look, from its deep red drapes, hand-crafted cornices, and luxury seating. The pièce de résistance is certainly the room’s custom-built entertainment center with 75″ HD 4K television. Whether you’re binge watching your favorite show or settling down for movie night with the family, there’s no finer place to do it than in this sweet space.

Living Quarters

The home has four bedrooms and six bathrooms, one of which is a chic Turkish bath with views of the Intracoastal Waterway. Meanwhile, the master bedroom is a modern masterpiece of luxury and style. Featuring a rich purple palette, a copper tray ceiling, electronic blackout drapes, and a temperature-controlled all-glass solarium with views of the water, this room is the ultimate space for relaxing.

The master bathroom completes the setting with its raised bamboo deck, recessed tub, and delicate LED lighting. The chic glass shower with 12 adjustable shower heads and a personal cedar-lined sauna allows every day to be spa day.

The Finishing Touches

Out back, the infinity pool is flanked by a beautiful herringbone travertine deck where it overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway. The pool is equipped with a swim-up bar and a sunken hot tub, so whether you want to swim some laps, soak in the hot tub, or lounge about with a cold drink, you can.

Off to the side of the pool is a covered outdoor kitchen and dining area, which is bridged by an actual wood bridge to one of the home’s more interesting features – a 500 square foot pirate ship waterpark and splash pad. If you have kids, this at-home waterpark will provide endless hours of inspired fun and imagination.

Currently, Vanilla Ice’s season five home is on the market for just shy of four million dollars.
