Your Own Little Slice of the Magic Kingdom

If you’re the type of person who can’t get enough of all things Disney, the type who visits the theme parks on a regular basis, owns several pairs of mouse ears, and can’t wait for the next Disney film to be released, then this just may be the perfect house for you. If you have the family to fill it, and the imagination to inhabit it, this bright, beautiful, big home is available for just under a million dollars.

A five-bedroom, four-bathroom home in the South Village neighborhood of the Disney-designed and built community of Celebration, Florida, this home is just waiting for the right princess, pirate, group of lost boys, or sea witch to come along and snatch it up. If you’ve ever considered relocating or retiring to the Orlando area of Central Florida, this could be a great opportunity to put down roots in a quiet, comfortable place right outside the most magical place on earth.

The Community of Celebration

Celebration, Florida lies just outside the Walt Disney World property in a suburban area on the edge of Orlando. The community was planned and developed by Disney, but is run by community residents now that all properties have been purchased. The population of Celebration is just over 7,000 residents, but only around 700 families call the town home.

Many of the town’s public spaces and nonresidential buildings were designed by Michael Graves, Philip Johnson, Robert A. M. Stern and other noteworthy architects. Though Disney has since divested much of its holdings in the town, several Disney offices are still located within Celebration.

The Home That Disney Built

The home is a single story residence with five bedrooms and four full baths. It features an oversized master suite, overlooking an in ground pool and hot tub. There are three additional bedrooms and an office in the home. The office has several great pieces of built-in executive-style furniture and great light. The home also comes with an attached three-car garage with an additional apartment above, featuring high ceilings and great light for painting, or whatever you like.

This was one of the original model homes in the community and comes with all of the upgrades you might expect – beautiful wood floors, deep base boards, extra lighting in nearly every room, crown molding, and coved ceilings. The pirate-themed bedroom also comes with an ensuite bath. And the home features a stunning kitchen with beautiful tile work, that opens into a wonderful breakfast nook and family room that also overlooks the pool and spa.

The Paint Job

As mentioned above, this was the former home of a Disney artist. The plain white exterior of the home obscures a beautiful interior. The interior of the home features a wonderfully updated color scheme throughout; with special attention paid to rooms for the children that feature Disney adventure themes and several pieces of Disney art.

The Perfect Fit, Regardless of Your Glass Slipper Size

No matter what you may think of Disney, this community and this home are beautiful on an almost magical level. Add the area amenities that Celebration has to offer – including a community golf club – to the Orlando area’s attractions and Disney’s resort options, and you have a location and home that are close to perfect.
