Want to See Where Lenny Kravitz Lived? His Old Florida Home Is for Sale!
Take a Look Inside the Legendary Rocker’s Former Home
Want to live like a rocker in complete and utter luxury? Lenny Kravitz’s former Miami home is currently for sale for $19.5 million. For a price like that, there’s nothing that the house doesn’t offer. Nestled into a secluded cove in the swanky Sunset Islands off the coast of Miami, the home’s current owner, Miami hotelier Stephen Muss, is selling the home after caring for it for 12 years.
The 12,000 square foot Mediterranean style home is an absolute dream for those looking for an opulent pad with rock-and-roll features all throughout the home.
Experience Lenny Kravitz Through His Former Home
Kravitz purchased the home in 2001 for almost $9 million and proceeded to infuse the home with his own personal style, which still remains intact. Kravitz sold the house in 2005, but his style and influence live on.
You can find Kravitz touches all over the home, including the fridge! Lenny Kravitz commissioned local Miami artist Jona Cerwinske to cover the fridge with sharpie doodles. In addition, one of the walls in a guest room also got the Cerwinske treatment, and is completely covered in intricate sharpie marker designs.
Rock and Roll Details Abound in This Stunning Miami Mansion
Many of the guest bedrooms still have the white beaded curtains that Kravitz installed. An ornate brass chandelier hangs from the ceiling at the top of a gorgeous spiral staircase. Kravitz purchased the chandelier at the Miami Antique district, and refurbished it to become an elegant jewel welcoming guests upstairs.
The Backyard Is Fit for Royalty
Featuring a large salt water pool and private dock, the backyard is a luxurious space to relax and kick back, even on Miami’s hottest days. The ground of the entire backyard is covered in white powdered sand that Kravitz had shipped in so that his backyard would feel like a private beach.
In addition, the yard has the flora and fauna of a rain forest getaway, complete with pink Cockatoos and meditation garden. The space is perfect for relaxing privately as well as for entertaining friends and hosting parties.
Do You Have a Few Million Burning a Hole in Your Pocket?
The home features 6 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms — perfect for hosting visiting friends and families. Lavish details decorate the property including wood ceilings, arched doorways, a home gym, private theater, private dock, elevator, and guest house. The estate is a tropical estate fit for buyers looking for the most luxurious experience.
The Miami Herald notes that the price is not actually unreasonable, due to the desirable neighborhood, the home’s proximity to South Beach, and the size of the property. The lot spans 25,000 square feet with 125 feet of bay views.
