August is national water quality month. In the US, most cities and towns have perfectly fine tap water, but all tap water isn’t created equally. In fact, in varying cities, you might find that from one place to the next, the water tastes different, that’s because different localities have different water treatment systems and there may be different ordinances regarding levels of chemicals used to treat the tap water. Furthermore, depending on where you live, you may get your tap water from the town’s water system or you might get water from a well.
