Game of Thrones™ Houses: Cersei, Jaime, and Tyrion Lannister

The Lannisters are the family everyone in Kings Landing and beyond loves to hate. If you’re not familiar with HBO’s hit series, Game of Thrones, the Lannisters–twins Cersei and Jaime, and younger brother, Tyrion–are some of the richest, most powerful, and most devious characters in the realm. Cersei is the nefarious Queen of Westeros while Jaime, once a sworn member of the King’s Guard, has now taken the mantle as the Lord of Casterly Rock, their home. Tyrion is equally as devious as the twins, but uses his cunning wit much more for the benefit of others.

Cersei and Jaime

Twins Cersei and Jaime may be in different locations for most Game of Thrones episodes, but we know these siblings always prefer to be together at whatever cost. (Did we mention they’re an “item?”) The Lannisters are among the richest families in Westeros, and want everyone to know it. Their house motto is “a Lannister always pays his debts,” so price is of no consequence for these sweet siblings when searching for their next dream home. What better place to live than in The Hamptons, the pinnacle of wealth, luxury, and the finer things in life?

These siblings have worked hard and made some serious power moves to fully control Westeros, so they need the latest and greatest in home security in case anyone they’ve crossed decides to seek revenge on them. Of course, they also need a home with a tall tower, perfect for hideaways, romantic trysts, and for controlling well-informed children.

Tyrion Lannister

Filled with wit, humor, and incredible one-liners, it’s easy to see why Tyrion Lannister is a Game of Thrones fan-favorite. Sister Cersei has plotted his murder on several occasions, but that won’t stop him from finding his dream home, living his best life, and putting his keen political mind to use with another queen. Tyrion needs a home that can stand tall and firm and withstand any enemy force, so only something fortified with rock will do.

Tyrion is a strong supporter of “working girls,” so having an excess of spare bedrooms is an absolute must-have. He also needs a secret passageway for sneaking these “friends” in and out of his new home (or, using it to quickly escape should his devious sister unexpectedly arrive). No house would be complete for Tyrion if it didn’t have a library, as he is exceptionally well-read and believes that “a mind needs books like a sword needs a whetstone.” Finally, and perhaps the greatest must-have for Tyrion, is a wine cellar. The more bottles it can hold for this wine connoisseur, the better!

Don’t forget to tune in on April 14 for epic season eight premiere of HBO’s Game of Thrones. It’s the final season, and we can’t wait to see what adventures and misadventures our favorite characters get into one last time.
