The neighborhood is 7 miles from Fort Eisenhower, a US Army base in Augusta. A huge factor in bringing people to the area, it houses the U.S. Army Signal Corps, U.S. Army Cyber Command and the Cyber Center of Excellence. The neighborhood is about 30 miles away from Plant Vogtle, the nation’s only nuclear construction project and the project and plant bring thousands of jobs to the surrounding area. Once the project is complete, there will still be 800 permanent jobs and create enough clean energy to power 1.6 million homes.
