Most homes in Carriage Place were built between 1978 and 1985, with a few early 90s builds sprinkled throughout. Community green spaces and trails

The 12-mile Toll Gate Creek Trail connects Hampden Run Park’s playground on the neighborhood’s north side to the Quincy Reservoir farther south. “Outdoor recreation is one of the main draws to Carriage Place and the surrounding suburbs,” says Pence. Grandview Dog Park’s off-leash area sits adjacent to the reservoir, where paddleboarders glide across the water as anglers cast lines, with over 3 miles of trails surrounding the water. For more waterside recreation, the 4,200-acre Cherry Creek State Park has 35 miles of trails popular among hikers and bikers alike, along with an expansive reservoir that offers fishing, boating and swimming. The park also has around 130 campsites.

Commuting and public transit

Regional Transportation District operates the area’s bus routes, with nearby stops along Mansfield Avenue, Buckley Road and Hampton Avenue. “Traffic here is more moderate compared to the Denver Metro Area, so commuting doesn’t take as long,” says Pence. “And you’re close to major employers like the Buckley Space Force Base and the Centennial Airport.” Colorado Highway 83 and Interstate 25 can take drivers to downtown Denver in around half an hour. Denver International Airport is roughly 20 miles north.
