Lakeside dining at County Line on the Lake
Though Jester may feel secluded, it’s close to shopping and dining. The Jester Village Shopping Center is at the end of Jester Boulevard, near the entrance to the community, and has several shops and restaurants like Catrina’s, which serves Tex-Mex cuisine, and Red Lotus Asian Grille. County Line on the Lake is a few miles away from the neighborhood along Bull Creek. In addition to the filling plates of Texas barbecue, the restaurant also has an outdoor patio space and occasionally has live music. H-E-B is about 5 miles away, accessible via 2222. Several highways connect to the Austin metro area
Like most neighborhoods on the outskirts of Austin, a car is necessary to get around. Public transit through Austin’s CapMetro bus is available, but it’s a few miles from the neighborhood. 2222 leads to the MoPac Expressway and downtown Austin, which is less than 15 miles away. Medical care is nearby at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center and Seton Northwest Hospital. Jester is also close to Loop 360/Capital of Texas Highway.
