A peaceful retreat 7 miles from Austin

Westlake is a neighborhood that consistently ranks among the most desirable in and around Austin. With its stately homes, huge lot sizes, superb homes and incredible scenery, it’s easy to see why residents of this upscale area are so fond of where they live. The median lot size in Westlake is over 26,000 square feet, which means houses have plenty of land surrounding their houses to ensure a sense of peace. Surrounded by mature trees, the area exudes a bucolic atmosphere. But while residents may get the sense they are living in a wooded retreat, they are in fact less than 7 miles from the hustle and bustle of downtown Austin. Realtor Nate Clark, who has been representing real estate transactions in the area for close to a decade, echoes this sentiment. “Westlake is incredibly quiet while still being close to Austin,” he says.
