Home values are climbing fast as residents reimagine Olde Providence

Sleek ranch-style homes sit alongside stately Colonials and storybook Dutch cottages, while elaborate new French Provincial–inspired builds and modern “millennium mansions” add extra polish to the streetscape. Residents are breathing new life into solid midcentury houses with open floor plans and fresh finishes, and home values generally run from the mid-$400,000s to the low $800,000s, with larger or newer properties sometimes topping $2 million. In such a sought-after area, listings tend to move quickly once they hit the market. Local Realtor Jessica Smith with Keller Williams South Park says, “The neighborhood is skyrocketing because people are making homes more functional for growing households.”
