Clearcreek Township is a community that straddles the line between rural and suburban. While the housing developments in the neighborhood close to Interstate 75 have a decidedly modern feel, other parts of the township feel much more far-flung. “The beauty of Clearcreek Township is you get to enjoy country living, but just about everywhere is just a few minutes from I-75 or I-675,” says Realtor Karen Powell of Coldwell Banker Heritage, who has lived and worked in the area for over 40 years. “You get to be surrounded by nature without giving up modern conveniences.”

Housing options in Clearcreek Township vary considerably depending on where you’re looking. In the Five Points area near the interstate, there are an array of modern developments made up of spacious new traditional homes. Most have floor plans between 2,500 and 3,500 square feet and sell for $400,000 to $600,000. Over the last couple of decades, a number of larger estates have also been built in the forests and farmlands that cover the southern half of the township. These homes typically offer layouts between 4,500 and 6,000 square feet and large yards or even acreage while selling for $800,000 to $1 million. Driving through the neighborhood, you’ll likely see large lawns and scattered forests, both of which give homes in the area a sense of seclusion.

Locals looking to spend a bit of time outside have a ton of options. Local parks like Patricia Allyn Park offer a standard selection of athletic fields, playgrounds and picnic areas. If you have a sweet tooth, you can always go apple picking at Hidden Valley Orchards, which also has a pumpkin patch and hosts a number of well-attended events throughout the year. But the crown jewel of the area outdoor scene is undoubtedly Caeser Creek State Park. “It’s far and away the most beautiful park in the area,” says Powell. “You’ve got boating, fishing, great hiking trails. People come every weekend from Dayton and Cincinnati, but for most people in Clearcreek it’s just 10 minutes away.”

Shopping in the area is, for the most part, centered around the malls and shopping centers in Springboro and Franklin, a 7-mile drive for some parts of Clearcreek. However, there are a few popular local shops more centrally located in the township, including the quaint Charm at the Farm Vintage Market and quirky decor shop The Secret Garden. There are a number of farms in the area that sell fresh produce, but the nearest supermarkets are in Franklin.

There are a few traditional American restaurants around the neighborhood, including the often-crowded Gameday Grill and Patio, a popular weekend gathering spot. However, as with shopping, the local dining scene is centered around Springboro and I-75.

Clearcreek Township's proximity to the interstate makes it a popular landing spot for commuters. Downtown Dayton is a 21-mile drive, while Cincinnati is closer to 40 miles away.

The township’s public schools are overseen by Springboro Community City School District, and are generally considered some of the strongest in the area. Five Points Elementary is rated 7-out-of-10 on GreatSchools, while Springboro Junior High is rated 8-out-of-10. Springboro High School has a rare 9-out-of-10 overall rating on the site and offers students college credit through a dual enrollment option at nearby Sinclair Community College.

Clearcreek Township offers a harmonious fusion of country-style living and suburban convenience, making it an attractive destination for those who value both tradition and modernity.
