Mix of contemporary homes with lower taxes than nearby areas
Most of Brookside Colony was built in the 1980s, so the homes here tend to feel more contemporary than those in nearby neighborhoods like Kendale or Olentangy Commons. You’ll see midcentury-inspired split-levels and ranch homes on quarter- or eighth-acre lots, along with more traditional styles from the early 2000s featuring bonuses like bay windows and vaulted ceilings. Prices typically run from the mid-$200,000s to the mid-$400,000s, depending on a home’s size and location. “They’re more affordable while still being in a great neighborhood,” says a Realtor with Keller Williams Consultants, John Brunner. The median price for a home in the area is in the high $300,000s: comparable to Brookside Village and Summerwood, but lower than Brookside Woods. HOAs are rare, even in newer sections of the neighborhood. “It’s a nice little area,” says Shannon Grimm, a Realtor with Howard Hanna. “Plus, it’s the lower Columbus city taxes with Dublin-area schools.”
Traditional style homes from the early 2000s are common in the neighborhood.
