Marble Cliff Crossing offers varied housing near trails and highways
What was once a working limestone quarry on the west side of Columbus is now Marble Cliff Crossing, a neighborhood with easy access to green space and major highways. Parts of the old quarry are now a sprawling metro park, putting a hub of local recreation minutes up the road, with trails, lakes and a dog park. Housing runs from condo communities to single-family homes in a mix of ages and styles. Buyers like that variety, plus quick trips to downtown and nearby job hubs.
Newer single-family homes in Marble Cliff Crossing pair stone and stucco exteriors with paver driveways.

Three condo communities with distinct styles and price points
Marble Cliff Crossing leans heavily toward condominium living, but that looks different depending on the community you're considering. Marble Cliff Crossing's larger condo communities include:
Scioto Station has single-story, ranch-style condos that date to the mid-2000s, with attached two-car garages and easy one-level layouts.
The Keep went up in the late 2000s, with low-rise buildings, vaulted ceilings and a community clubhouse that has a fitness center.
Hidden Lake dates to the 1970s, a gated community of low-rise condos built around a 26-acre spring-fed lake, with some units overlooking the water.
Sales typically range from the high $100,000s to the low $400,000s, and each community bills monthly homeowners association fees.
Single-family homes range from 1950s cottages to newer builds
Condos may lead the market, but Marble Cliff Crossing has plenty of single-family homes, too. Among the oldest are midcentury cottages, a few on larger lots along the neighborhood's wooded edges. You’ll also find 1970s ranch-style and split-level homes, as well as New Traditional homes from the 1990s and early 2000s.
Prices generally run from the low $200,000s to the mid-$900,000s, mostly depending on a home's age, size and condition. The median price for single-family homes lands in the mid-$300,000s. That's above the citywide single-family median and a bit higher than nearby Scioto Woods, but well below the new-construction homes at Quarry Trails. HOAs are more common in the newer subdivisions.
Getting downtown takes about 15 to 20 minutes by car
Interstates 70 and 670 are easy to reach via Hague Avenue or Dublin Road, though surface streets alone can get you downtown just as quickly. The trip is roughly 5 to 7 miles and takes about 15 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Most residents get around by car, but the Central Ohio Transit Authority runs stops nearby, with routes connecting to downtown and surrounding areas. Interstate 270, Columbus' beltway, also opens up drives to nearby job hubs:
Dublin sits about 10 miles out, or roughly 15 minutes
Grove City is less than 15 miles away, around 20 minutes
The private Scioto Country Club borders Marble Cliff Crossing.
Quarry Trails Metro Park anchors local outdoor recreation
Just outside the neighborhood, Quarry Trails Metro Park draws residents with 180-plus acres carved from the same old limestone quarry as Marble Cliff Crossing. It's built for people who like a little adventure with their fresh air, with mountain biking and kayaking on the quarry lakes. Hikers can wind past limestone cliffs to a waterfall, and dog owners can let their pets run in a fenced, off-leash area.
Golfers have options nearby, too. The neighborhood sits next to Scioto Country Club, a private club where a young Jack Nicklaus learned to play. For a public tee time, Raymond Memorial Golf Course on Trabue Road offers an 18-hole layout.
Two school districts offer different enrollment pathways
Marble Cliff Crossing sits at the intersection of two school districts: Columbus City Schools and South-Western City School District. School choice and open enrollment options differ between the two. Here's the gist:
Columbus City Schools starts with your home address but stays flexible, running a lottery for families who want a different school and opening seats to students from outside the district.
South-Western City School District also starts with your address but keeps things tighter, limiting transfers to its own schools when space allows and closing the door to outside students.
Where to find groceries, restaurants and vintage shops
Quarry Market is the neighborhood convenience store, carrying groceries along with beer and wine. It shares a parking lot with Casa Di Pizza, a go-to for takeout. For big-box stores and more restaurants, Hilliard-Rome Road offers plenty of options a short drive west.
For local shopping and dining, look east to Grandview Heights, less than 10 minutes away. "Fifth Avenue is the main drag in Grandview," says Realtor Thomas Hamrick with Keller Williams Consultants Realty, a lifelong Columbus resident. "You can take that road straight into the area that has a lot of cool resale and vintage shops."
