A resort-style development in the heart of the Central Valley
Set in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Tesoro Viejo is an oasis in the sprawl of the Central Valley. “It’s a beautiful 1600-acre site of rolling hills and scenic vistas with access to the San Joaquin River,” says Shelle Hartmann, Director of Sales and Events for Tesoro Viejo. “There are nearly 400 acres of preserved natural open space, along with parks, trails and recreational amenities. There is a strong sense of community fostered by a year-round calendar of events and gathering places located throughout the community.” Just a few miles north of Fresno and east of Madera, this development is sustainable and self-contained while still within reasonable commuting distance of both cities. Residents gain access to the many community amenities and enjoy proximity to some of America’s most treasured natural landscapes. “It’s an incredible resort kind of lifestyle,” says Elsa Gutierrez, Principal Broker with London Properties, who has over 20 years of experience in Central Valley real estate. “If you like outdoor living, it’s the place to be.”

Modern Traditional homes are being added to Tesoro Viejo
Prospective residents will find plenty to choose from throughout the community. “Tesoro Viejo offers court homes and a wide array of single-family homes, ranging in size from about 1,200 to 4,300 square feet,” Hartmann says. “That includes entry level, move-up or move-down, luxury homes and everything in between. Multi-gen homes are also available in each of the neighborhoods.” Single- and multi-story homes in Modern Traditional styles can be found throughout the subdivisions, many with the Spanish tile roofs and stucco siding characteristic of traditional Southwestern architecture. Prices can range from around $350,000 to almost $900,000, depending on square footage, number of bedrooms, size of the lot and the extent of any customizations. “Our guest homebuilders offer the opportunity for buyers to personalize their homes,” Hartmann continues. “The community has been approved for up to 5,190 dwelling units and has just over 1,130 residents, so it’s about 20% built out.” Homes in the area may be susceptible to potential fire damage because of the arid climate.
