The neighborhood features a selection of restaurants alongside everyday shopping options. Residents have access to Albertsons and Fry’s Food Stores for regular grocery trips. Casual chain restaurant options are also nearby, including Denny’s, Wendy’s, Domino’s Pizza and Taco Bell. Plaza and Val Vista Towne Center each feature a variety of stores and restaurant options, such as Midnight Taco and Port of Subs, which is known for its 2-foot subs. Still, residential options run the gamut in both size and price: starter homes may list for $400,000, while luxury properties with ample acreage fetch up to $5 million. “That’s the beauty of Gilbert,” Blair notes. “You have a wide range of housing for whatever you’re looking for.”

East Gilbert offers a mix of parks, each catering to different needs and interests, with many nestled conveniently between homes for simple community access. “Anywhere you turn, there will be a park within a few miles’ radius,” Blair says. Crossroads District Park offers an expansive property featuring soccer fields, baseball diamonds, an indoor ice rink and the Crossroads District Park Lake. Finley Farms-Mesquite Park, Val Vista Place Park, Palomino Creek Park and Neely Commons Park offer more intimate park options — often within smaller subdivisions of the neighborhood.

Plenty of events throughout the year in the Gilbert region bring the community together, including the town’s Fourth of July celebrations. The Western Skies Golf Club is also known beyond the neighborhood and attracts residents from the broader Gilbert-Chandler region.

Students in East Gilbert attend Gilbert Public Schools, which Niche ranked eighth best in Arizona school districts.
