A quiet neighborhood in North Long Beach
Named after the famed aviator, Charles Lindbergh, who made several stops in Long Beach in the late 1920s, the Lindbergh neighborhood is now known as a quiet enclave with an established community of early 20th-century homes. Buyers seek out this area not just for its older properties but also for its proximity to shopping and dining. While less expensive than other parts of the city, Lindbergh homes retain value and only come up for sale occasionally. North Long Beach residents also typically have larger lawns than what you'll find downtown.

Postwar Spanish Revival homes
“It’s a pretty unique area that’s also more affordable,” says Chanthol Pong, a real estate agent at Century 21 On Target who is familiar with the area. “The houses are all older styles, so many people look here for the architecture. Prices range from $560,000 to $850,000 for Spanish Revival or postwar bungalows. “Homes here are a great value because you’re getting a 1,100- to 1,300-square-foot home with a nice front yard and back yard for the same price as a condo in nearby areas,” says Realtor Nancy Deprez with Vista Sotheby’s International Realty. Deprez also states that most houses in Lindbergh have driveways and garages, a sought-after amenity in Long Beach, where parking can often be difficult.
