Willow Street Station and access to the interstate
“It’s very convenient,” says Jeff Perrin, an independent Realtor and Broker who has previously sold in the area. “The freeway is right there. The train is right there. It might be noisy, but a lot of people like the convenience. They can hop on the train and go anywhere in the city.” Willow Street Station sits on the western border of Memorial Heights. The metro circulates throughout Long Beach and all of Los Angeles. Bus travel is also available, with Long Beach Transit stops along Wardlow Road and Pacific Avenue. Getting around on foot is tricky because the roads are so busy, and Interstate 405 runs across the northern edge of Memorial Heights. The highway winds through Long Beach and leads 20 miles to Los Angeles. The Long Beach Airport is only 4 miles east, and the expansive MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center campus is located in the southern portion of the community.
The Metro runs along Long Beach Boulevard connecting all of Los Angeles County.

Single-family homes and multiunit properties in Memorial Heights
Memorial Heights is a pretty classic SoCal neighborhood. Small homes line the busy streets, shaded by palm trees and crisscrossing power lines. “The price point is going to be a little lower, which attracts buyers,” says Realtor Cyrus Mohseni, founder of The Keystone Team, who has previously sold in the area. There are modest ranch-style houses and New Traditionals, as well as a few condos and townhouses. Prices generally fall between the low $400,000s to just under $900,000. Buyers should be aware that the noise of planes traveling to and from Long Beach Airport can be disruptive. Some Long Beach residents are lobbying for flight path changes in an effort to reduce noise in residential areas.
