Prices range from the high $100,000s to the mid-$400,000s. But the neighborhood’s location makes it easy to access the rest of the city. “It’s close to Highway 62, light rail transit stops and the Mississippi River, including the Mississippi River dog park and trails leading to Fort Snelling State Park,” Archer says. It’s about 10 miles (20 minutes) to downtown Minneapolis and downtown Saint Paul. Metro Transit buses and the Blue Line light rail stop in the area.

Morris Park and waterfront parks offer outdoor fun
Most homes are within walking distance of Morris Park, the neighborhood’s namesake. There’s plenty to do, with its recreation center, playground and one of the few skate parks in the city. The Minneapolis Public School District serves the neighborhood. The youngest students can start at Lake Nokomis Community School, which is split into two campuses. Wenonah Elementary School offers kindergarten and first grade, and Keewaydin Elementary School serves third through fifth grade. Both schools and the district as a whole receive a B from Niche.
