The Gold Line light rail is another option for commuters, running alongside the freeway, and Sacramento Regional Transit bus routes connect Rancho Cordova to neighboring suburbs. Bike lanes line major roadways like Coloma Road. Commercial space is concentrated at the corner of Sunrise Boulevard and Coloma Road. In addition to thrift stores and auto centers, there are grocery stores like Smart & Final Extra and Grocery Outlet, as well as fast-food chains like In-N-Out. Locally owned eateries include Jasper’s Giant Burgers, known for its large portions and milkshakes, and Thai Smile & Sushi, which offers a mix of East Asian cuisine. Root of Happiness Kava Bar is a unique addition to the local community serving kava, a beverage that originated in the Pacific Islands and is known to have a relaxing effect. Just south of the freeway, the Rancho Cordova Certified Farmers’ Market takes place outside the Sunrise Light Rail Station every Saturday.
