Country Club’s residential streets are a patchwork of upscale, midcentury-era homes, landscaped lawns and brilliant displays of California flora. Ranch-style and split-level homes are the most common home styles in the area, many of which have been renovated and upgraded over the years by their owners. Many are situated on large, sprawling lots, including a handful that sit on nearly a half-acre of land. It’s a great place to raise a family,” Swan says.

Highly rated schools and a high school known for college prep
Country Club is home to several highly rated schools. Students on the western side of the neighborhood can start their education at Simonds Elementary School, which gets an A-minus rating from Niche, and Castillero Middle School, rated B-plus. Those on the east end of the neighborhood attend A-rated Williams Elementary School and A-minus-rated Bret Harte Middle. The last four years can be spent at Leland High School, a sought-after STEM school with an A rating. Niche ranks it among the top 50 high schools in California for college prep.
