The people who called this Bedford, Wyoming, castle home for decades have listed their familial kingdom for nearly $14 million.
The Heiner family listed their residence at 2150 Robinson Lane Road for $13.49 million last week. On 37 acres, the 9,470-square-foot residence has five bedrooms, four bathrooms and three powder rooms.
The family enlisted Rusty Kunkle, associate broker with Keller Williams Jackson Hole, and Patty Speakman, associate broker with Compass, to co-list the residence.
“It’s at the top of the mountain. You can see all of the Star Valley," Kunkle said. "It’s built where a castle should be built."
Developer Deon Heiner completed his primary residence in 1992. It's designed after Germany's Neuschwanstein Castle, the same inspiration for the one in Disney's "Sleeping Beauty." Heiner and his wife raised five children at the residence. He died in 2023, and the family wants to downsize.
The residence was on the market for $14 million a year ago, but now it's listed at a 4% discount. If it sells for that asking price, the property would be one of the highest-priced residential sales in Bedford and nearby Star Valley. It is on the market for more than double the price of the nearest listing by location, a 4,807-square-foot residence at 2220 Aspen Hollow Road up for sale at $6.7 million.
“The property alone is priceless. It’s on top of the mountain,” Kunkle said.
Don't want to drive? The property comes with a helipad.
If you like getting behind the wheel, Star Valley sits about an hour's drive from Jackson Hole, a playground for the rich. The community has a Four Seasons, actors Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart have a residence in the area, and the Kardashian clan, famous for their reality TV series and designer clothing, often visit.
This Wyoming area provides a nature-lover’s escape, from skiing in the winter to hiking and spotting mountain lions and bears.
