Homebuilder Toll Brothers is opening a slate of new model houses in an exclusive Irvine, California, master-planned community. The price of entry? Nearly $6 million.
The builder is launching the six new model houses in the Orchard Hills development on Saturday, according to a news release. The residences are part of the third neighborhood in the community known as The Summit. The master-planned community is developed by the Irvine Co.
Saturday’s openings will include “estate-sized single-family homes” — the smallest house is more than 4,300 square feet — in the Pinnacle and Skyline collections.
Buyers can add features like home offices, multigenerational living suites and covered decks, and they’ll have their choice of exterior style between Spanish, Tuscan, Italianate and Coastal. Each lot will also have space for homeowners to add an additional structure, such as a pool house or casita.
Prices for the properties start at $5.92 million. That’s a far cry from the $426,600 national median price for a newly built house, and it’s millions more than the median sales price of roughly $2.83 million in the Orchid Hill master planned community.
The development consists of three neighborhoods built by a collection of homebuilders. Builders include KB Homes, Shea Homes and Brookfield Residential in addition to Toll Brothers.
The Summit is the newest addition to the development and offers "resort-inspired" amenities, including parks and pools.
