Just weeks after listing a high-profile Paradise Valley, Arizona, home, brokers say they have secured a buyer for the home.
Kirk Linehan of APEX Residential is the listing agent for 6748 E. Berneil Lane, which was the former home of NBA player Deandre Ayton when he played for the Phoenix Suns.
Linehan confirmed to Homes.com that the property is under contract with a prospective buyer. He declined to provide the family's name but added they are looking to relocate to Paradise Valley from north Scottsdale.
A closing date is set for Dec. 15, Linehan said. The home is listed as "under contract" on Homes.com with a price just shy of $8 million. The house hit the market last month for $8.19 million.
"If you have a good product and you price it right and price it for what their true market value is, the properties of this caliber and this price range are still selling," Linehan said in an interview with Homes.com.
Paradise Valley home recently underwent major renovation
The deal came together after an agent, who lives nearby, saw the home and brought it to her clients, Linehan said.
"The right eyes saw it," he said.
Linehan has a history with 6748 E. Berneil Lane, as he represented Ayton when he sold the home in 2023, and that buyer, Turley Fervor LLC.
Turley Fervor, led by owner Andrew Turley and joint venture partner Bryan Firth, embarked on renovating the home during the summer of 2024.
The renovation included removing the circular roof and sunken living room — and adding to the 6,074-square-foot floorplate. The new version is a 7,660-square-foot home with five bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms.
Other renovation touches include a kitchen with dual islands, a 290-bottle wine wall, a heated pool with a spillover spa, a grilling pavilion and a pickleball court.
Homes in Paradise Valley, a sought-after neighborhood with Arizona's largest cluster of high-end residences, carry an average value of more than $4.4 million as of September, according to Homes.com data.
