The suburban Atlanta house owned by the late singer-songwriter known as "The Gambler" has a buyer.

Kenny Rogers' six-bedroom, cul-de-sac property in Sandy Springs, Georgia, is under contract, according to the listing on Homes.com and agent Thom McCorkle of Ansley Real Estate Christie's International. The home was listed for $2.475 million.

McCorkle said he couldn't discuss the buyers or their offer, except to say they were fans of Rogers, who died at age 81 in 2020 not long after buying the house. McCorkle said the home went under contract within two days and had "double-digit showings" during that time. The closing is scheduled for Oct. 7.

"A lot of it was the excitement around Kenny Rogers," McCorkle told CoStar News. "It's a great house, and we didn't go crazy on the price."

McCorkle said it's a popular price range in metropolitan Atlanta for those types of homes, and they tend to stay on the market for close to 90 days.

"When you price it too high, it goes stale, and people start making low-ball offers," he said.

The living room of the nearly 6,000-square-foot home has a fireplace, custom-built elevator and French doors leading to a deck overlooking the pool, according to the listing.

Fittingly, there's ample room for multiple poker and game tables, and the terrace level also includes a full guest suite. Other features include a climate-controlled, walk-in wine cellar, a media room and a home theater with six reclining chairs.

One of the most popular songs by Rogers, who was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2013, was "The Gambler," released in 1978.

The home's backyard has a covered patio and hot tub with a cascading water feature, while the outdoor area includes artificial turf. A three-car garage has extra storage space and a finished epoxy floor.

McCorkle listed the home for Rogers' family, including his widow, Wanda Rogers-Webb.
