Ten New York real estate agents — known collectively as Noble Black and Partners — have departed brokerage Douglas Elliman Real Estate and are returning to their previous employer, The Corcoran Group.

Industry veteran Noble Black and his fellow nine will be based in Corcoran's East Side of Manhattan office and in Southampton on Long Island, Corcoran officials said in a statement Tuesday. Black is known in New York City real estate circles as a powerhouse, having sold $3.5 billion worth of properties between the Big Apple and the East End of Long Island. Black has a "client-first philosophy" with a "deep expertise across every property category," Corcoran officials said.

"He has built an extraordinary business grounded in integrity, insight and a profound understanding of the market," Corcoran CEO Pamela Liebman said in a statement. "With the strength of the Corcoran brand behind him, I have no doubt he will continue to raise the bar in both New York City and the East End."

Noble Black is the latest in a series of big-name agents Corcoran has nabbed this year alone. Kirsten "KJ" Jordan — the first woman to join the Bravo cast of "Million Dollar Listing New York" — joined the company in April. Maggie Gold Seelig — a former Massachusetts agent known for helping NFL legend Tom Brady sell his properties — joined the brokerage in New York City in June.

The Corcoran Group is one of New York's most prominent luxury real estate brokerages. Its parent company is Anywhere Real Estate, which also owns Coldwell Banker, Century 21 and Sotheby's International Realty.

Born in Mississippi, Black is a lawyer by trade who returns to Corcoran after spending a decade as an Elliman agent. He holds a bachelor's degree from Millsaps College in Jackson and a law degree from the University of Virginia. He worked at a law firm on Wall Street in Manhattan before diving into real estate, Corcoran said.

Some of Black's most notable recent real estate deals include penthouse units across Manhattan — specifically at 520 Park Ave., 785 Fifth Ave., 100 11th Ave., the Four Seasons Private Residences and 10 Sullivan St.

In a statement, Black said he and his team were grateful for Elliman's years of support for their success. He added that Corcoran's "client-centric values, market leadership, global affiliate network, and marketing resources align with the trajectory of our practice."

Black originally worked for Corcoran between 2005 and 2015. Some of the other Noble Black and Partners agents returning to Corcoran include Cory Cahlon, Justin Figari, Jamie Gagliano, Matthew Mackay, and Jennifer Stillman. The team is currently representing the sale of about $500 million worth of luxury properties in the Big Apple and the Hamptons, Corcoran said.
