A decade ago, Miami-based One Sotheby's International Realty established a sports and entertainment division to work with athletes and celebrities who buy and sell Florida homes.

Agents Kimberly Knausz and Benjamin Westby started the venture and later added former NFL punter Brian Moorman. The division operated informally, and it was time for a reset, said Chris Anthony, senior vice president of One Sotheby's.

"We just wanted to put some form and structure to it," Anthony told Homes.com.

In the past week, the brokerage relaunched the division with 28 agents along Florida's east coast from Key Biscayne to Amelia Island. Knausz, Westby and Moorman remain part of the team.

To qualify, agents had to be within the top 100 of One Sotheby's in dollar volume in the past year and have worked with at least two athletes or celebrities, according to Anthony, who oversees the division.

"It's a whole different vibe," he said of catering to famous clientele. "They're just so dedicated and focused on their careers. We just want to be part of a team and help them make really wise decisions."

Anthony's nephew, Roman Anthony, is an outfielder who played 71 games with MLB's Boston Red Sox in 2025 and finished third in voting for American League Rookie of the Year.

Florida, particularly the Miami-Dade metropolitan area, has traditionally been a top destination for the rich and famous, given the abundance of coastal properties, year-round temperate weather and the lack of a state income tax.

One Sotheby's has a partnership with the NBA's Miami Heat and has worked with other athletes, Anthony said.

While the sports and entertainment division focuses on sales along the east coast of Florida, One Sotheby's will refer athletes and celebrities who buy and sell elsewhere in Florida or across the globe to other Sotheby's International agents, Anthony said.
