Homebuilding giant Toll Brothers is planning townhouses and single-family homes in one of Georgia's fastest-growing markets.
The homes in Crossing at Coal Mountain in Georgia's Forsyth County will start in the low $600,000s, according to the builder's website. Sales are expected to begin next year.
The master-planned community, comprising nearly 450 homes, is located approximately 40 miles northeast of Atlanta in Cumming, Georgia, and is part of a mixed-use project that will also include retail, dining, apartments and office space, according to developer Atlantic Residential.
Spokespeople for Toll Brothers and Atlantic did not immediately return phone calls seeking more details.
Forsyth has added roughly 27,200 residents since 2020, a nearly 11% increase in population that makes it one of the state's top counties for growth, according to U.S. Census figures.
Forsyth has highly rated public schools, affluent demographics and proximity to job centers along Georgia Route 400, noted Madelyn Bearn, director of market analytics for Homes.com.
The county is one of the areas on the outskirts of Atlanta that builders and developers are targeting as land for homes becomes scarcer closer to the city center, Bearn said.
Toll Brothers, based in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, is the nation's 10th-largest U.S. homebuilder based on 10,813 sales last year, according to Builder magazine.
