A former NFL player and Super Bowl winner has purchased a $4.5 million Miami estate, and it’s not his first real estate move in the city also known as the 305.
Jeremy Shockey bought the four-bedroom, three-bathroom home in the Bay Point Estates subdivision on Friday, according to a listing on Homes.com and real estate agent Julian Johnston of The Corcoran Group, who represented both Shockey and the seller in the transaction.
The property had been listed for $5 million.

The 3,800-square-foot house is fitted with the usual luxury accoutrements, including stainless steel appliances, neutral colors and big closets. But it is what’s outside that really sets the property apart.
Outside the house is a 5,000-square-foot Zen garden equipped with a koi pond, brick path and canopy tree forest. There’s also a heated saltwater pool, deck and barbecue area.

Shockey spent 10 seasons as a tight end in the NFL, playing for the New York Giants, the New Orleans Saints and the Carolina Panthers. His tenure included two Super Bowl wins, one each with the Giants and Saints, before he retired from the NFL in 2011. He played college ball at the University of Miami.
And in the years since his retirement, he’s been active in the Miami real estate market. Last February, he rented out his nearly 5,000-square-foot home on The Miami Beach Golf Course. Before that, he sold a condo in Miami Beach's famed South Beach area in 2018, media outlets reported at the time.

His latest property is in Bay Point Estates, an “exclusive gated” subdivision in the city’s Upper East Side South neighborhood, according to Homes.com. The subdivision sits just miles outside downtown Miami and Miami Beach, offering access to the city’s design district.
