The new owners of this Monticello, New York, mansion could watch Le Mans from the race car in the great room, hop out and make a pitstop in the kitchen for snacks.

The home, which comes with its own Alfa Romeo F1, is on the market for $8 million.

The property at 97 Serenity Lane in Monticello doesn't have a traditional garage; it offers a 10-bay auto shop outfitted for repairing and maintaining high-performance race cars. The home is half a mile from a race car-themed country club, complete with its own private 4-mile track.

"It's like the 'Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous'-type of home," said Robbie Glessman of Douglas Elliman, the listing agent. "Everything has been done to the max on this property."

The Alfa Romeo, which is a working vehicle and not just a display, comes with the purchase of the home as do a few other perks, Glessman said.

Buying the Serenity Lane home also comes with a gold membership to Monticello Motor Club, a perk that costs $125,000 a year. Gold is the club's highest membership level and, with it, comes unlimited access to the track. Glessman said whoever buys the home would still need to pay the $18,000 a year to renew their membership.

"The membership is like a key thing to have if you’re going to be buying this house because you most likely will have one or more race cars and you want to run them on the track," he said.

All told, the Serenity Lane home has four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms across 7,825 square feet. Built in 2022, the one-story property also features a fireplace, a 149-inch television, and a 300-bottle, climate-controlled wine space attached to one of the dining room walls.

The home sits in the quiet, rural community of Monticello — a tiny village in the Catskills. It's known for having a former casino property that it is now a harness horseracing track called Monticello Raceway. The Catskills often attracts New Yorkers who live downstate but want a second home that's quiet and closer to nature.

The home is set in a gated community called Motor Club Estates, which consists of 17 single-family properties, seven condominium units, and a 7,500-square-foot clubhouse. Motor Club Estates is an oasis for car enthusiasts, Glessman said, adding that some "people have million-dollar cars in their garage there."

Woodstone Development, a real estate developer in Bethel, built Motor Club Estates, and the company's CEO, Mike Watkins, owns the Serenity Lane home.

Watkins plans to remain living in the area but has decided to sell this home, Glessman said.

"If you love the house and you’re not into race cars, you just have a big, beautiful home," he said.
