Brick roads lined with Craftsman bungalows and Colonial estates
Historic brick streets crisscross the community, fringed by wide sidewalks and elegant homes. “The neighborhood’s mostly Craftsman, but some new homes are being built too,” says Dorman. Much of the neighborhood was built in the early 20th century, a period reflected by the community’s abundance of Craftsman-style homes. This design features deep, low-pitched roofing, large windows, and open floor plans that emphasize simplicity in appearance and unpretentious interiors. The community also features several Colonial-revival houses and ornate Mediterranean and frame vernacular homes. Homebuyers also have a range of multi-story condominium complexes featuring in-house fitness centers and views of Lake Eola. Prices depend mainly on the size and style of the home. Condo prices can range from $200,000 to $450,000. Alternatively, a modest Craftsman bungalow costs around $400,000, while larger houses cost as much as $1.0 million.
