I was born in the beaches of Orange County, California…raised in the sunshine, oceans and backyard pools daily! In 1993, after a couple of years at Long Beach State University, in my senior year I decided to take 1year off and came to Idaho to ski for a year. I was seeking to experience the winter snowy playground lifestyle! WOW did I win the lottery, after an incredible banner snow year and 100+ ski days at Bogus Basin Ski Resort in Boise, Sun Valley & Brundage I fell in love with Idaho. 1 year. That was all it took! I permanently moved from my sunny beaches of Orange County to the beautiful glorious Idaho Mountains. I always say that I traded my beaches for my snow and my dolphins for my deer & elk. The warmth and hospitality of the locals, abundant wildlife, powdery snow, the changing seasons and year-round recreational opportunities have ensured that I have never thought of returning to California, not for one day!
I completed all 3 degrees including my Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, and Masters of Science in Recreation/Business Administration at the University of Idaho and Washington State University by 1999.
Although I have worked and lived in many ski resort towns here in Idaho & in British Columbia, Canada, I make my home in Boise’s historic East End neighborhood along the Boise River and within walking distance to downtown Boise & Boise State University. While living in Boise these past 38+ years I have become extremely knowledgeable about the uniqueness of Boise and its rich 125+years of history.
During my many years managing Special Events, Recreational and Ski Resort Management, I took a position in 2000 with the Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the Salt Lake City Winter Olympic & Paralympics Games of 2002. During the years leading up to the Olympics I worked with many world class athletes, international companies and sponsors, international security consultants, and management teams from all over the world. My persistence, experience and extensive education made me the choice to manage event services for the Provo Ice Hockey Venue and the Snow Basin Ski Venue. I have cherished my Olympic experience as the most amazing time of my life! Truly spectacular!
Deciding not to continue to the Athens Games, I decided to plant my roots in beautiful Boise as a Professional Realtor! In 2003 I acquired my Realtor’s license and began the exciting new career as a real estate advisor, always striving to ‘go above & beyond’ my client’s expectations. As if one Olympics wasn’t enough, once again in 2008 when the Olympics called me for joining the venue management team for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver & Whistler, BC, Canada, of course, I left to work the Olympic ski venues in British Columbia for gamestime! My real estate clients were AMAZING! They supported me in my international endeavors and allowed me to work the remaining 13 custom build jobs down here in USA while going back and forth monthly to Canada at the Olympics. All 13 homes were completed on time and my happy homeowners were thrilled to watch me on Olympic TV interviews from the warmth of their NEW homes by the fireplaces! Working in the International business arena was a one in a lifetime!
