About Ben

PERSONAL INFORMATION
Ben is a native of small-town Iowa and enjoyed a very close-knit and caring community growing up. However, in 1998 his sense of adventure called him to relocate and explore all that Colorado has to offer. He soon met his wife, Ali, a native of Colorado Springs, and in 2004 they moved to Northern Colorado with their young family. His nonprofit career provided him with an opportunity to serve the University of Northern Colorado and Larimer Humane Society, where he worked alongside some of the most dedicated staff and volunteers in the country to deliver the quality-of-life services that we enjoy in NOCO every day. Ben’s family has blossomed in Greeley and Fort Collins over the years and he feels the same sense of community pride and connectedness that he experienced in his youth. It’s because of the people here that Ben calls Northern Colorado “home.” He loves to invest in the community and currently enjoys chasing his three boys to their school, sports, and music events. Ben and his family also enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, skiing, and playing ball whenever they can.
