Bill Ruth was born on the Peninsula and into a versatile real estate family. With his father, mother, brother, and sister all part of the business in various capacities, it’s little wonder Bill took a similar path and has since carved out a distinctive niche in this industry.
Bill began his real estate career alongside his father, a commercial high-rise developer, before transitioning to the residential side by joining his mother at her small real estate company. With a career spanning more than 35 years, Bill represents a variety of clients, from first-time homebuyers to luxury estates. His love of working with people and making a difference in their lives is evident in his award recognition; roles as president, chairperson, and member of several related organizations; and bevy of industry designations. Bill is a Graduate, Realtor® Institute, Certified Real Estate Appraiser, Certified Environmental Inspector, and Palos Verdes Specialist.
Bill was born and raised in Palos Verdes and graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in real estate finance. He’s still very active with his university’s alumni relations and business school, and he also mentors. Bill is further involved with the Peninsula Education Foundation, which is the Palos Verdes School District fundraising arm for music, arts, physical education, libraries, and more. He also helps build homes in Mexico through his church and organizes a local thrift shop for charities. Bill enjoys playing tennis, boating, traveling, water and snow skiing, and spending quality time with family. He has three children, two of whom share his alma mater; the third attended the University of Colorado Boulder.
